B. CHAMBLISS gathered to help them celebrate their Golden Anniversary on July 28, (1968). The real wedding date is July 31. Their nine children came from many places: Evansville, Indiana, Louisville, Ravenna, Kentucky (in Estil County), Burkesville, Kentucky (in Cumberland County), Hawaii, Sturgis, Kentucky (in Union County), Hartford, Kentucky (in Ohio County), and Hardinsburg. 18 of their 20 grandchildren came with them. Two extra special persons help make up the family group. The 94 year-old mother of Mrs. CHAMBLISS, Mrs. Lillie LYONS, and the youngest member of the family, Paul Bradley, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert CHAMBLISS. The family attended church at the Hardinsburg Baptist Church, went to Rough River Lodge for lunch, and greeted their many friends and relatives at the lovely reception in the social room of the church from 3:00-5:00 o'clock.
