I have never seen a tombstone like it before in my over 40 years of researching. It was white and black marble; so hard to read the names and dates. January 9 (Special) - The marriages which took place at St. Mary's Thursday were those of Mr. James CRENSHAW and Miss Rose BEAVIN, and Mr. Joe BEAVIN to Mrs. Hettie RYAN. The attendants were Misses Sarah and Theresa BEAVIN, and Messrs. Richard NEUMAN and John COOK. After the ceremony they, with many others, went to Mrs. Jane BEAVIN'S and partook of a nice dinner, which was much appreciated by all. The evening was spent dancing, singing, laughing, and talking.
