The young couple was accompanied by the bride's sister, Mrs. Oscar DUPREE, and her brother, Paul BLAIN. They returned to the Falls of Rough, Saturday afternoon, and will reside in the home of his parents. ___________________________________________________________ The groom in this article is Elijah Ferdinand "Ferd" FENTRESS. He is buried next to his first wife, Lydia CANNON. They are buried at Shady Grove Cemetery in Grayson County, Kentucky. Lydia died on May 28, 1936 in Grayson County. Ferd and his second wife, Eva S. BLAIN (Married in late 1936). I found a death certificate for their only child, 2 month old Franklin D. FENTRESS. Died of Whooping Cough on 20 November 1937 in Falls of Rough, Grayson County. Buried at Shady Grove Cemetery. He has a single tombstone. I found Ferd's death certificate, #25860. He died in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky on December 20, 1948 from Exhaustion and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Born in Grayson County on October 5, 1894. (To find him on Ancestry again, he is listed under "Elizabeth Ferdman Fentress". His first name on the certificate clearly shows Elijah. Transcriber saw Elizabeth.). His spouse was also listed on his death certificate, wife, Eva BLAINE FENTRESS. In the 1940 census of Grayson County, Ferd was age 46 and Eva, his second wife, was age 21. ________________________________________________________________________ Ancestry.com U.S., Newspapers.com. This is all I could find for a date of their marriage. I also could not find their marriage record at Cannelton, Perry County, Indiana, where they actually married, according to the newspaper article. I lost Eva after finding her still living in 1958. She was still a widow and living with her brother in the 1950 census of Louisville, Jefferson County, Ky. She was 30 years old in 1950. Her brother's name was Allen F.
